Le minuit juif (‘hatsoth layla) se situe douze heures « saisonnières » (cha‘oth zamanioth) après midi (‘hatsoth ha-yom).
Celui-ci a lieu à la moitié du temps qui sépare l’apparition du soleil (nets ha-‘hama) de son coucher (cheqiya).
